Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress
Team Malaysia has returned home victorious from the recently concluded 27th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, clinching an impressive haul of 8 Gold, 5 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals. The team was warmly welcomed by YB Hannah Yeoh, the Youth and Sports Minister, at the KLIA arrival hall, celebrating their outstanding achievements.
Leading the charge was Rafiq Ismail, who secured 4 gold medals in the men’s singles, trios, all-events, masters categories and team silver. His remarkable performance solidified his status as one of the top bowlers in Asia.
On the women’s side, the spotlight shone brightly on Sin Li Jane, the recently crowned PWBA Tour Player of the Year and US Women’s Open Champion. She claimed 3 golds in the Women’s all-events, doubles, and masters, along with 2 silvers in the team of 5 event and team Trios event.
This remarkable success marks Malaysia’s best achievement in the history of the Asian Championships, solidifying their status as the reigning champions of the continent. The team’s dedication and skill have truly put Malaysia on the bowling map, inspiring future generations of bowlers to follow in their footsteps.
